SC East Bengal got a crucial victory over FC Goa that keeps them at the top of the eISL table while Bengaluru FC climbed up the league table to the 4th spot following their dominant performance over Kerala Blasters FC.
In the first clash of the day, game 1 between NOT_ANKITGUPTA and AFNANAMEEN10 ended in a goalless draw with both players missing chances to score.
However, game-2 was a lively affair. V–SHARMA10 scored early in the match with Eusebio and he doubled his lead in the 31st minute following another goal by the Portuguese Maestro. IM_BENO7 did not stay down for long and hit back with a goal in the 39th minute. He equalised the score with a great Ronaldo Nazario goal in the second half. IM_BENO7 completed the comeback in the 79th minute and took the victory in the match.
In the co-op game, SCEB scored early in the second half and took the lead and it was the only goal of the game. The Red & Gold brigade went away all three points.
IM_BENO7 scored three goals and was declared the Hero of the Match.
The second match of the day was between Bengaluru FC and Kerala Blasters FC.
In game-1, Warsi scored two quickfire goals in the first half but was pegged back by A-K-S-H-A-TO8 in the 37th minute to make the score 2-1. Goals in the 56th and 82nd minutes, for Warsi sealed the match in BFC’s favour. However, A-K-S-H-A-TO8 got a consolation goal late in the game.
In game-2, XSAGNIK_ scored early in the second half and sealed his victory with a goal in the 78th minute to take all three points home. Just like game-1, KBFC got a consolation goal in the dying embers of the game, but it was not enough to overturn the result.
In the co-op game, after a quiet first half, Bengaluru FC scored in the 78th minute to complete the whitewash over Kerala Blasters FC.
Warsi scored four goals in the series and was the Hero of the Match.
