Three intense clashes took place in the eISL on Saturday as NorthEast United FC and Chennaiyin FC registered crucial victories over Kerala Blasters FC and FC Goa respectively. Meanwhile, Odisha FC achieved a hard-fought draw against table-toppers SC East Bengal.
Interestingly, these results did not result in any movements on the eISL league table.
The first clash of the day was between NorthEast United FC and Kerala Blasters FC. MUFFUBURHANI got the victory in game-1, following a dominating performance over LOKMANYU06. Two goals in the first half coupled with a third in the second half sealed the victory.
Game-2 ended in a 1-1 draw between A-K-S-H-A-T08 and EMAADROX. A-K-S-H-A-T08 scored in the 34th minute, however, EMAADROX scored an equalizer late in the game.
In the co-op game, NEUFC scored a great goal with Kevin De Bruyne to seal the match and the clash in their favour. They went away with all three points. For his wonderful performance, MUFFUBURHANI was declared as the Hero of the Match.
The second clash of the day ended with Chennaiyin FC recording a victory over FC Goa. In game-1, V–SHARMA10 scored early in the first half to take the lead and NAVINH29 scored the equalizer in the 40th minute. V–SHARMA10 then restored his one-goal advantage in the 66th minute but, just like the first half, NAVINH29 got a late equalizer.
In game-2, AFNANAMEEN10 scored a great goal with Messi in the 38th minute, however, SARANSHJAIN7 restored the parity to end this game in a draw as well. The co-op game ended in a victory for CFC as they scored a goal each in both halves to get all three points from the clash.
NAVINH29 scored three goals and was awarded the Hero of the Match.
The third clash of the day ended in a draw between SC East Bengal and Odisha FC. DUGGAL TV and NOT_ANKITGUPTA played out a goalless draw in game-1.
In game-2, SHUBUMBUMTUMTUMM scored in the 39th minute and took the lead, but a goal in the 81st minute for IM_BENO7 resulted in this match being a draw as well.
In the co-op game, both sides scored a goal each in the first half. Odisha FC scored early in the second half to take the lead, but SC East Bengal levelled the score with a late equalizer to end this dramatic affair 2-2, both sides taking a point each.
DUGGAL TV was declared the Hero of the Match for scoring two important goals.
