Table toppers, Chennaiyin FC, carried forward with their rich vein of form as an enthralling finish to beat Kerala Blasters FC meant they are still to register a loss in the five matches they have played so far in the eISL.
In game 1, Kerala Blasters represented by LOKMANYU06 fired the first goal, however, SARANSHJAIN7 playing for Chennaiyin FC scored the equaliser on the verge of half-time.
Then, a chip pass followed by a volley to strike it into the net put Kerala Blasters back in the lead.
Kerala Blasters gave away possession from the corner in the beginning minutes of the second half and Chennaiyin FC made them pay with the counter attack. However, LOKMANYU06 showed resolve to seal the game with back to back goals in the final ten minutes of the game, winning 2-4.
The second game saw the script flipped in favour of Chennaiyin FC, this time NAVINH29 opening the scoring with a goal in the 18th minute, then an equaliser from A-K-S-H-A-T08 of Kerala Blasters FC within two minutes squared things up. Chennaiyin FC kept the hopes alive with a 4-2 to move the match to the decider.
The game three went down to the wire as a thrilling end by Chennaiyin FC to clutch the all-important three points after breaking the deadlock to salvage a goal at the end made them win by 2-1.
