Day 3 of eISL was another spectacle as the best EAFC players went to battle on the e-pitch! We had some thrilling performances and some surprise results from our talented players. The action began with an absolute blockbuster. FC Goa’s Emaad took on Karan of Hyderabad FC for our first matchup of the day. This was an absolute goalfest as Emaad took a dominant 9-2 win and started a tough day for Karan. However, the plaudits belong to the e-Red Miner, Subha for his first win at eISL Season 3 with an incredible performance against the e-Nawab, Karan. NorthEast United’s Charanjot was a stalwart, going unbeaten for the third consecutive day and stamping his authority on the league stage.
It was a rather quiet day for the Islanders, but Siddh made his way up the table with a shock win over the reigning champion and current e-Torchbearer, Saransh. Siddh notched up some more wins over the day and found himself back in the top 4 with 4 wins and a draw in the day’s play and a spot in the playoffs firmly in sight. While it was good news for Siddh, Saransh had a rather off day. He saw 2 losses out of his 4 games today and seemed a shadow of himself. A close loss to Kerala Blaster’s Navin to start his day was followed by wins over Mohun Bagan Super Giant’s Mahtabuddin and Jamshedpur FC’s Subha but he was caught out again by Siddh in a rather tame 5-3 loss.
The Kerala Blasters had a very good outing on Day 3 with Navin making uppositions and taking some crucial wins. He went unbeaten with 2 wins and 2 draws to put him back in contention for a playoff spot. Another player who shined through was Emaad, with a statement 9-2 win in his first game of the day. He had a remarkable day considering his performance earlier and seemed to have found his rhythm at eISL Season 3. This brilliant performance has brought him and FC Goa back in the fight for the playoffs. With such amazing performances, the fight for the playoffs is well and truly on, making the overall scenario rather interesting with so many good players competing for only 6 spots!
