With a lopsided 6-0 win in the first game, SC East Bengal were already on the frontfoot. However, Hyderabad FC fought back and scripted a 1-1 draw in the second game to stay in the hunt. Despite facing stiff competition in the penultimate game, SC East Bengal scored a late winner to claim all points on offer.
SC East Bengal’s NOT_ANKITGUPTA took charge of the game from the beginning, as he scored within the opening 10 minutes to put his side ahead. The lead was extended twice, as Hyderabad FC’s D33KAY was down by three goals by the half-time. NOT_ANKITGUPTA added three more in the second half to complete a massive 6-0 win.
The second game was a more evenly poised battle, as Hyderabad FC’s AADIZEMA scored just at the stroke of half-time to draw first blood. SC East Bengal’s IM_BENO7 levelled the scores early in the second half, to set up a cracking finish to the game. The teams cancelled out each other's opportunities for the remainder of the game, as the game ended 1-1.
Hyderabad FC were the dominant side in the first half of the third game and even failed to convert from the spot, as it was goalless at half-time. Even though Hyderabad FC kept on pressing throughout the second half, a late goal against the run of play by SC East Bengal allowed them to walk away with full points from the fixture.
