Mumbai City FC completed a hat-trick of wins to break into the top four on eISL standings after defeating Odisha FC two wins to one.
Odisha FC drew first blood to take the lead in the three-game match. Shubham appearing for Odisha FC netted two goals and kept a clean sheet against Ashwin.
In game 2, Tikka led Mumbai City FC’s resurgence with three goals to Duggal Tv’s one. After the half-time, the two sides were evenly poised with a goal each, however, Tikka managed a double blow in the second half to restore parity in the match.
The decider saw a tightly fought contest but it was Mumbai City FC who responded to pressure and rose above with an early two-goal lead. Odisha FC found a goal on the verge of half-time, however, it proved to be insufficient as Mumbai City defended to clinch the three points on offer.
